If you don't know what fun church can be, you will after you visit VFBC Youth and Children's ministries. Students have the opportunity to learn about the Bible through AWANA on Wednesday evenings, missions projects and bible study on Sunday nights, and on Sunday mornings during Sunday School.  Raising children with hearts for missions is a goal of the children and youth ministries at VFBC.

We take the opportunity to do mission work locally, statewide, and nationally.  Each year the youth go a national mission trip over Spring Break followed by youth camp with a missions emphasis : MFUGE camp and CENTRIFUGE camp at one of South Carolina's Baptist Colleges. During the summer months, the youth do biweekly mission projects; during the school year, the youth do weekly mission projects.   All of these projects train these students for the end of summer state mission trip.

The children learn a lot about missions on Sunday nights in GA's (girls grades 1-6) and RA's (boys grades 1-6).  They also go to Centrikid camp where they learn more about the Bible and missions.  Each month the children participate in a mission project on Wednesday nights during AWANA. AWANA helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community.
